When Ages & Stages opened its doors in 2014, it was the beginning of a dream and a vision for a one-of-a-kind child care program.
We knew that with over 15 years of experience, passion, and an amazing team, our program would be unlike any other. And it didn’t take long for the community to take notice; Ages & Stages has built a fabulous reputation and now operates with a substantial wait list.
As you may already be aware, the philosophy of Ages & Stages is based on recognizing and acknowledging each child as a distinct individual. Our program is inspired by the philosophy of Reggio Emilia and its holistic approach to child care & learning.
We pay attention to the connectedness of mind, body, and spirit and we believe it’s critical to engage the “whole child’. When a child is empowered by their parent and the caregivers in their life, they can accomplish wonderful things.
Over the past few years, the vision for Ages & Stages has been evolving to meet the needs of a quickly changing world.
We are aware that families work hard to make a living.
We understand the stress and demands of a society which is largely technology-based.
We sympathize with how solitary the parenting journey can feel.
We see the effects of a rushed existence in our very own children… and we want to help.
Ages & Stages is transitioning to a new model of child care; something we feel hasn’t been touched by programs in North America as of yet. We’re certain that our new model will change the way society thinks about childcare and we’re excited that you and your child will be part of this process!
We believe childhood is precious and our vision builds on the foundation of protecting and preserving the joy of childhood.
We want your children to have the best childhood imaginable.
We want to provide an atmosphere where you and your child have the opportunity to slow down.
We want you and your child to feel supported and grounded, simply by being a part of our program.
We don’t want care to stop with your child, but rather, we want to build you up and encourage you as the primary caregiver of your child.
Here’s what you can expect as we make this transition:
Within the next month, we will be announcing our formal name change. We’re excited to move our vision forward and we felt a name change is an essential first step.
Within the next 8-12 months, there will be a gradual shift to our new vision.
We want to reassure you that our priority will always be to provide the best care and support for your child. Our new program model only increases the quality you can expect from us.
The exciting official launch of our new program model will take place at the End of Summer Carnival on Friday, August 24, 2018. We hope you can join us!
Lastly, we invite you to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram for updates and exciting new developments!
We’re excited for the coming year and we’re delighted that you and your child will be among the first to experience this new model of holistic child care.
